Cathy Van Bruggen Applique Patterns

Cathy began sewing at a very early age. She remembers sewing doll clothes by hand while watching her mother create costumes. Later, Cathy was hired by Catalina Swimwear as a production manager and sample maker. Unable to work outside the home while raising five children, she designed custom bridal wear. In 1970, she developed a family business called The Outfitters, a retail chain for women's clothing. When Cathy retired in 1995, she began quilting as a hobby. By using timesaving techniques in quilt making, she developed Appliqué the Easy Way. She enjoy screating botanically correct appliqué featuring flowers, birds, and woodland creatures.
