This cold water fiber reactive MX dye is known the world over. Use for tie-dye, immersion dyeing, batik, airbrush, garment dyeing, screen-printing, spatter painting, gradation dyeing for quilters and more!

If you have seen someone wearing a super bright almost "electric" tie-dyed shirt that nearly blurs your vision, it is certainly this dye.

Procion MX Dyes are the most vivid of all dyes for cellulose fibers. Typically one 2/3 ounce bottle will dye more than 1 pound of fabric. Very bright colors will require more dye, pastel colors will require less.

They are permanent, colorfast, and very washable. Procion MX fiber reactive dye will dye all cellulose (plant) fibers and some protein (animal) fibers. Commmon cellulose fibers are cotton, linen, jute, ramie, sisal, and rayon.

For best results on protein fibers we recommend using Jacquard Acid Dyes.

Procion MX works well for silkpainting, immersion dyeing, tie-dye, silk-screening, hand-painting, and batik.
